IPMA Australia is a not-for-profit, member-based organisation committed to advancing the project management profession across Australia through collaboration, advocacy, professional development and global engagement.

Who we are

A two-way conduit between global practice and Australian need

IPMA Australia is the coming together of several international and national project management and organisational development entities. As the Australian member association of the International Project Management Association (IPMA), the organisation connects Australian practitioners, organisations and institutions with contemporary international project management practices, standards and thought leadership.

Guided by its strategic vision, IPMA Australia acts as a conduit between global best practice and the evolving needs of Australian industry, government and community sectors.

At the heart of IPMA Australia is its membership community — a diverse network of project professionals, academics, industry leaders and organisations united by a commitment to professional excellence and capability development. Through nationally recognised certification pathways, professional learning programs, knowledge sharing forums and collaborative partnerships, IPMA Australia supports the growth of competent, ethical and future-focused project leaders.

The organisation also plays an important advocacy role by promoting the value of effective project management in delivering sustainable economic, social and community outcomes for Australia.

Through its not-for-profit ethos, IPMA Australia continues to invest in the long-term development of the profession while “opening doors to a world of possibilities” for its members and the broader Australian project community.
